Product Manager - Access Control

The Product Manager is responsible for supporting our Access Control and Intercom Solutions products and services, owning the portfolios with regard to what will be offered, target customers, vertical markets served, as well as pricing strategy. Major responsibilities include managing product line profitability, owning new product introduction and obsolescence, overseeing cost-out/value-engineering initiatives, coordinating new market expansion, defining and managing market research and assisting with brand development programs. Significant global, cross-functional interaction and project management is required across the organization with global sales, engineering, manufacturing, sourcing and other functions.

 

Job Responsibility

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to define Dahua’s product strategy
  • Monitors the financial performance of all assigned products/regions
  • Price analysis and positioning by product classification
  • Monitor product forecasts and production plans to ensure appropriate product inventory levels
  • Identify gaps in current product line and develop Market and Product Requirements to initiate New Product Development projects to fill the gaps
  • Works with Marketing and Sales to ensure all product documents and marketing literature are accurate  
  • Works closely with customer service to define and execute product training and knowledge transfer.
  • Develop and maintain competitive analysis reports. Analyze pricing and programs of competitor products to determine relative position of current offerings.
  • Support with trade show and convention needs

Requirements

  • 1 – 3 years experience in a Product Management or Product Marketing role
  • 1-3 years experience in various Access Control Systems/Solutions and Software-as-a-Service model and an understanding of information technology is preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Business, Marketing, or Technology)
  • Knowledge of Access Control and Video integration solutions
  • Strong knowledge based of MS Office, Data analysis and web
  • Comfortable presenting to a large team both via webinar and in person
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and demonstrate strong multi-tasking abilities
  • Strong Communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced work environment
  • Up to 25% Travel expected
